Peptic ulcers certainly can cause pain, but the treatment usually makes the pain improved after a week or two. If you are on adequate therapy and still having pain, you should be reevaluated by your Gastroenterologist BBB to see if there could be any other causes in addition. If the ulcer is in the stomach, it also needs to be reevaluated by endoscopy. Good luck.
