My ankle is swollen, red, and warm to the touch. also my ankle and the bottom right side of my foot hurt when i try to walk. i had surgery on it multiple times last year but fine since then. should i go to er or wait the week or 2 to see doctor?

Red swelling in the ankles sounds like it could be an infection, gout, arthritis, a result of a clot. It hard to say what you should do without more information. If you want you can try telemedicine first understanding that the doctor may not be able to treat you but direct you where you need to go.

Go to ER. the surgery you had may have had screws, plates, or other implants. You don't want to chance an infection.
