A uterine myoma is a muscle tumor in the wall of the uterus. With time, sometimes these benign tumors begin to degenerate and form small areas of calcium deposits. These can be seen occasionally on imaging studies of the uterus. It is more of an indication of degeneration of the muscle tumor and not an indicator of a precancerous condition.
