I wonder if you had the problem or you asked the question for someone else. For a man who received a 2 week course of antibiotic(s) it is somewhat rare unless you had infection due to bilateral obstructive nephropathy. If that is the case, make sure the obstruction is relieved completely. In general, severe pyelonephritis may still cause some residual pain due to inflammation after the treatment.
