POOR ORAL HYGIENE: You have a positive attitude which is half the problem .See a PEROIODONTIST for treatment and home care instructions. You will learn how to brush properly and what type of brush to use as well as how to floss and other home care instructions.

Many factors: I'm impressed you are "taking the blame" of plaque build-up and want to control it better! How rapidly plaque builds up depends on many factors besides brushing. Some of us have a mouth that is slightly more alkaline (higher pH) by making more ammonia from arginine and urea found in saliva. If your saliva has more urea in saliva you get more build-up. You need frequent visits & customized plan.

Failure: To quote one of my mentors, "There is nothing the Dentist can do that will overcome that which the patient will not do." Your oral hygiene technique is failing you, and trying to pass on responsibility to someone else is useless. If our Dentist can't motivate ou, see a Periodontist. But don't expect miracles if you won't do your part.
