A member asked:

Can an immovable pea sized lymph node be cancerous? there even on both sides?

Are they located on both sides of your neck. They may be remnants of prior viral or bacterial throat infections. Benign nodes don't increase in size and new lymph nodes shouldn't appear. These would be indications that you should consult a physician for evaluation and advice.

You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
