A member asked:

Is it possible to have a smooth, pea sized movable lymph node in lower side of neck that is not cancer? first noticed it 6 months ago at the same time i had a tooth abscess and it has not changed since then?

Yes, it's probably @your previous infection. HOWEVER, I suggest that you visit your physician to be examined to confirm this assessment.

It is unlikely to be cancer. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!

If abscess was treated with extraction or root canal treatment, it would be prudent to return to your treating Dental generalist or specialist for post-treatment evaluation. it is also possible that yo have other oral infections.
