A member asked:

I have l5 nerve root compression (mri confirmed), and my emg came back showing l5 radiculopathy. yet my biggest symptoms that lead me to get this diagnosed is constant twitching in my calves/soleus and arch of foot, isnt that all the s1 dermatome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

This does appear inconsistent, which would make me wonder, if this is bilateral, regarding a peripheral neuropathy or a motor neuron predominant disorder. Would seek a second opinion to sort this out.
