If symptoms: Don't improve with conservative care piriformis syndrome can produce sciatica. This underdiagnosed cause of sciatica can often respond to steroid injection into the piriformis muscle. A physical medicine consult may help assess for this.

Can worn out discs at L5 and S1 be cured? The pain is uncomfortable to the point where I have difficulties sitting and performing other daily tasks. No sharp pain or sciatica. Just dull, nagging pain in the area. MRI also shows the discs bulging.
