It does have some such effect. It is common knowledge that Phenergan, with its antihistamine features is abused by some in the drug abuse community as an extender or even a solo drug of abuse. I doubt you will see it used that way for John Q. Public in the normal course of healthcare, but hospice medicine makes use of some novel treatments to provide patient comfort.
