Dr., i like to know the time frame for my mom, 84, primary liver cancer, dr. set up hospice for her, how much time does she have left in an average.

Hard to say.: Need to take a few things into consideration… what is her underlying health status? What is the total tumor burden? How much liver function is remaining? Has she had any complications to date? Able to eat? "hospice" means less than 6 months. If she has been losing a good deal of weight i would bet she has much less than that.

Hospice end of life: We can not answer how long but hospice is end of life care and you have to discuss with the oncologist or treating physician as to the time frame.But she is terminally ill and unfortunately she is not going to recover.
