Hospice: Most hospices only take patients with 6 months to live or less. I would need more information to tell you more.

Cancer: I'm sorry to hear that but only god or the powers at be know that answer. Just spend what time you have with your mom and enjoy the present. Hospice is very good in helping the patient as well as the family dealing with dying. :)

It varies...: Usually hospice indicates anywhere from 1 to 6months but this can definitely vary depending on diagnosis and extent of disease. I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Remain strong.
