I have anxiety. when i go to the doctors my pulse is very high, when i get home, my pulse is normal. my resting heart rate is around 70 on average. is this concerning?

Initially it was thought that white coat phenomena happened in doctor’s office and is of no significance. Then it was noted that persons exhibiting white coat phenomena also have same effects when going for examination, interview, flight, waiting in check out line,, meetings, etc. This sudden rise and fall of BP is more damaging to blood vessels. Hence it is better to treat. Hope it helps.
