Unclear on question: certainly a heartbeat will pump blood and produce a pulse; the heart is on the left side.

Common.: Anxiety can make you become hyperaware of your heart beating, rapid pulse and worry that they are having a heart attack. Reflux esophagitis can actually cause chest pains . If your doctor examined you and found a problem in your heart, I am sure he would have warned you . Do not be afraid to ask questions and get some explanations.
