Loop monitor is different from Holter monitoring: It only records EKG around time arrhythmia and it can be sent wirelessly for real-time analysis to central monitoring station that can alert physicians and be made available for on-line review. Loop monitor can be worn up to 30 days for capturing the significant event and may be worn continuously or applied during symptoms.

A loop recorder monitors your heart rhythm for a longer period of time and can identify the of arrhythmia and its frequency, giving the specialist a better idea for the need for further intervention such as blood thinners, medications or devices. The monitor may also enable identification of causative factors such activity, emotional distress etc. I would recommend that you follow this advice.
