A member asked:

Hr has increased, cardiac workup normal. hr 75-90 at rest 60-75 while asleep. normal hr was 55-65 in 50s while asleep. cardiologist says heart is normal on echo, 2 wk holter. what could cause this? it has been almost one month?

It is difficult to assess the significance of a change in heart rate as described by you. If the heart is noted to be normal on testing, would consider causes such as anxiety, concurrent medications that may increase the heart rate, possibly alteration in thyroid function(less likely) etc. Continued observation would seem appropriate.
