Electrophysiologist wants an event monitor instead of loop recorder for heart rates ranging from 38-203. he said doesnt seem to have arrhythmia but holter showed svt. 301 tachy events, 11 brady events. im confused. what is causing presyncope?

Your Holter Monitor demonstrated both bradycardia down to 38/min and tachycardia up to 203/min including SVT. Either one is capable of causing presyncope. Event recorders can be worn until symptoms occur and may demonstrate whether symptoms are caused by bradycardia or tachycardia events. Treatment for these are of course quite different. You are in good hands with an electrophysiologist

The event monitor device is meant to answer your question as it may link your symptoms to a specific heart rhythm and treatment will be directed properly. Further work up may be needed if no correlation found.
