Echocardiogram was okay. holter monitor showed high heart rate & low hr. (150s & 40s)dr said he cant say for sure whats going on & sending me to electrophysiology to have a loop recorder implanted. when high hr said my heart acted funny. help?

If the Holter showed high(150s) and low rates(40s), I am not sure what else would be accomplished by a loop recorder. If there is bradycardia tachycardia syndrome and these are associated with symptoms you need decisions by an electrophysiologist. Are the bradycardia episodes caused drug therapy? Are there significant tachycardias without medication? Considerations should include a pacemaker.
