What are the odds of actually waking up from wisdom teeth surgery. i am a heavy weed smoker (daily). i dont believe i can stop smoking weed before the surgery and i planned on certainty not doing it the day of removal . im terrified of waking up!?

Heavy cannabis ingestion is correlated to less effective anesthesia. That said, many people have their wisdom teeth extracted under local anesthesia, so "waking up" is not a terrifying thing, it is something that can easily be reversed with more sedatives and anesthetics. At 17 your bigger concern should be your cannabis intake. Cannabis can interfere with mental development in puberty.

Agree with Dr. Kratzberg. Weed is messing with your brain and you should quit while you are ahead. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

Discuss any & all meds (Rx/)PTC/Recreational) with your Dr well before your surgery. Smoking anything post-sure will interfere w healing and may cause complications. Smoking weed destroys brain cells, and you are of greater risk of that happening than waking up during surgery.
