Not related: His hiccups are not related to the extractions. A "cure" that I have used myself is to have a glass of water ready... have your son exhale as much as possible so he feels that he has no more air in his lungs. Then have him slowly take three sips of water from the glass. Repeat if necessary. That usually does the trick.
