A member asked:

When my kid turned 10 he started walking pigeon toed and is now 14 and has been unable to grow out of it. he can stop if reminded though. it doesn't hurt. he did strain his groin when he was around 10 or so, could that have something to do with it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

see an orthopedic surgeon to evaluate his lower extremities. If the intoeing is correctEd by the child just thinking about it then he should think about it more often. The chances are we are dealing with a soft tissue internal rotation of the hips and he is able to correct it if he’s conscious about it as opposed to a bony or osseous change. Custom orthotics by podiatrist might be needed
