What would be the cause of my 2.5 yo daughter starting to walk pigeon toed? is it something serious

Be flexible!: Most of the time the cause of this is excessive laxity of ligaments in the hips and knees and not actually a foot problem that causes the appearence of feet turning in "pigeon toed". If she sits in a "w" sit with legs back behind her, you can discourage this. Encourage lots of walking, play etc using her legs to strengthen muscles. Mention to your doc next time in to check general tone.

See a podiatrist : She could be fitted with gait plates to help try and correct this.
