A member asked:

Have pain in right calf. typically only hurts when i point my toes or walk. wondering if it's just a strain or dvt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calf pain: A doppler ultrasound is needed to evaluate for a DVT, which is life threatening since a clot can embolize to your lungs. Sometimes a DVT can occur with very little signs on exam, so an ultrasound is almost always orderd. An urgent care center visit is recommended.
