A member asked:

What would the statement "right auxillary lymph node densities noted" mean in a mammogram report posted in the findings? there was no detail about the lymph node?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If you had screening mammogram and you have no symptoms or signs for breast mass, it means that axillary lymph nodes were seen on ultrasound which they noted and if any change will occur, then a comparison can be helpful in diagnosing cause of change. If lymph node is larger than 1.5 cm, hard or fixed, then it needs biopsy by needle aspiration or by removing the lymph node, sent for pathology.
