I have a peritonsillar abscess that ruptured. the tonsillitis that i experienced before the abscess developed is healed. no fever. significant swelling and pain reduction since the abscess drained. will antibiotics still be necessary to recover?

It is imperative that you see a doctor. A tonsillar abscess, especially one under the tonsil is an indication for tonsillectomy.
