Is azithromycin time released? i have the 5 pack of 250mg. i had to cut in half to take to prevent pneumonia with my covid. im having a panic attack thinking its not okay to cut the pill in half. there is no way i can swallow whole?

Relax. This medication is tolerant to what you plan to do. It is well absorbed and remains in your system for many days after you take it. I would not worry about what you plan effecting it at all.

No problems. Cut it in half and swallow the two pieces. It will still work the way you want it to. It is not standard practice to take antibiotics to prevent pneumonia, still less covid pneumonia which is caused by a virus. Five days worth of 250mgs a day is not a big dose however.
