The cuffing may be indicative of smooth muscle constriction. Discuss whether a trial of a bronchodilator and inhaled steroids is indicated. A PEFR test and a home log of readings is often useful in gauging improvement. While symptomatic, a pulmonary function test during COVID-19 is not usually performed due to possible aerosol generating particles.
