A member asked:

Elevated liver alt100ast47. possible covid in march and took prednisone and zithromax at that time. just had fibroscan ultrasound is normal. all other bloodwork and autoimmune bloodwork we normal. should i be concerned because enzymes are still high?

Your fibroscan ruled out cirrhosis & fatty liver. Has a viral hepatitis panel been done? Any history of alcohol excess or taking medications or unusual supplements that could affect the liver? In addition to completely abstaining from alcohol, I recommend consulting a hepatologist or gastroenterologist for more testing and possible liver biopsy. An ALT over 100 would be very concerning.
