A member asked:

Is it possible for napping to trigger insomnia, and for the insomnia to gradually get worse over a few days after napping?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly. Napping in a younger person of 34 years will fulfill some sleep needs of the body, but has the potential to interrupt normal circadian rhythm. This can make falling asleep a problem. For people who cannot sleep 8 hours e.g, working 2 jobs, naps are necessary, but should be avoided if single sleep time is available. Sleep hygiene may help you, but space limitations here.
