When i try to fall asleep i get this numb, weird sensation in my head that prevents me from falling asleep, for a month could i have fatal insomnia?

Unlikely: Fatal insomnia is rare. Two types a familial type and then there is a type associated with prion disease. Mad cow disease would be a type of encephalitis from a prion particle.
