Tinnitus, or ringing in the ear, can be caused by many things. It can be caused by COVID-19 so if you haven’t had a test recently, perhaps you should-just to rule it out. It can also be caused by hearing loss so if ENT didn’t find anything, see an audiologist and have a hearing test. Treating the hearing loss, if present, can be helpful. And, the audiologist can offer treatment for the tinnitus.

I agree with Dr. Ferranti . Additionally, if you are not finding improvement with conventional treatment approaches - auricular and scalp acupuncture can sometimes be helpful even if etiology is poorly defined.

I knew a physician who had chronic tinnitus and travelled far and wide looking for an effective treatment. He was unsuccessful as there is none unless an otolaryngologist can find a cause that's treatable. I think Dr. Fowler's suggestion may be worth a try, though.
