I am on methadone 30mg. i have a wisdom tooth broken to the gum line, and my dentist highly recommended me to do it at an oral surgeons office, with iv sedation. can i do iv sedation this while on methadone?

ASK BEFORE APPT.: Call oral surgeon and your primary care doctor and explain your condition to see if you are able to have IV sedation. You may have to undergo a special treatment plan, be pre medicated or use local anesthesia.

Consultation: Important that the Oral Surgeon have your complete medical history, including all prescription meds/OTCs/recreationals/supplements, etc. Important that Oral Surgeon consult w the physician that prescribed your Methadone. Then safest treatment path can be chosen.
