The Oral Surgeon: Some oral surgeons treat TMJ but in any event they need to be included in the team that treats you. You can also let your regular dentist know and he should be able to help with your symptoms. It is not uncommon to have some short term TMJ problems after difficult extractions and they are usually successfully treated.
