A member asked:

My body attacks everything. i have autoimmune disease. would an mrna vaccine be safe when it is used with genetically modified material? or would j & j be safer since they just use cold virus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both safe: Depends on what type of autoimmune disease, how severe it is, and what you are taking to treat it. Both Pfizer (and Moderna) and J&J (not yet available) DO NOT use live viruses. They all use small fragments of the virus that do not replicate in your body. So far (at least with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines), no reported increased in incidence of adverse reactions GET VACCINATED
