Urine tests accuracy: "Diabetic urine tests" are no longer recommended for pregnant diabetics. They may not reflect accurately the levels of sugar in your blood. You will need a glucometer. If you have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, it would be best to consult a "diabetes nutritionist" and a MFM team, i.e. a group of materno-feto-medicine clinicians who have expertise in managing pregnant diabetics.
