Mastering carbohydrate consumption is a lifetime crusade against possible diabetes type 2 (DM2). Keeping weight down with protein, vegetables and limited carbohydrates will decrease likelihood of DM2 and the cardiovascular effects derivative of same.

No you did not develop diabetes since your fasting blood sugar or 82. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV, Flu and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
