I have a uti. went to urgent care, ua blood and bacteria. placed on macrobid for 5 days (have 3 tablets left). culture came back contaminant. (sorry not clean catch) took 6 doses of azo. feel better but not 100%. is 5 days long enough?

Need more info: If you did not have urinary infection, it does not matter if you take or not take the medication. 5 days is usually enough for usual UTI. Drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless.

Can UTI cause hip/back pain? Took cefdinir for UTI all pain gone. No bacteria in urinalysis and no growth culture but took one dose macrobid two days prior. 0-2 RBC, 21-50 WBC, leuko erat +. All else neg. Have trapped stone and on warfarin.
UTI ua showed blood at level 3+. After 2 days on ciprofloxacn, blood level was 1+. Now on day 5 and home ua test strip shows moderate blood. I have 2 1/2 days left on cipro. Culture was neg but had been on nitrofurantoin. Should I be concerned?
