Can you have a uti and not have bacteria in urine specimen? i had frequency of urination retention and urgency, r flank pain. taking macrobid for 7 days. helping symptoms. urine culture shows genital flora but no bacteria?

There can be many reasons for this. Improper collection of urine (contamination), infection by organisms such as Mycoplasma. Your symptoms are consistent with UTI hence you are getting better by treatment prescribed for it
