1 week ago had urinalysis for annual physical. Today I got a call that I have an undiagnosed UTI. Results- trace of blood & small leukocyte esterese. No burning or urgency to pee. Was given Cipro 250mg 2x/day for 3 days. Accurate diagnosis?
UTI ua showed blood at level 3+. After 2 days on ciprofloxacn, blood level was 1+. Now on day 5 and home ua test strip shows moderate blood. I have 2 1/2 days left on cipro. Culture was neg but had been on nitrofurantoin. Should I be concerned?
