New Abnormal labs: Viral infections can temporarily depress bone marrow function & cause low red cell counts, low white cell counts and low platelets. Acute leukemia almost always shows a high white cell count. If you're not experiencing any symptoms it's reasonable to simply get a repeat CBC&differential cell count in a week or so, or you could consult a hematologist for evaluation &advice. Post viral: Leukopenia is relatively common, platelets would be extremely low at 2000, normal range 150000-400000, suspect typo. Sometimes meds used for symptom control such as NSAIDS can cause transient leukopenia as well. Serial counts under the care of a hematologist may help in this setting. Leukemia does not appear likely with limited available information.
