My blood pressure is through the roof, 195/90 for entire day and a half and i take losartan 50mg in the morning daily. is it okay to take another 50mg, until i schedule to see my dr?

Yes: Until you see MD I would suggest losartan 50 mg 2x per day. Because of your age your doctor may also look for secondary reasons for hypertension. It is good you recognize need for better control. If you get headaches, visual disturbance, chest pain until you see your md go to ED or urgent care. Take your BP daily at home and record for your md. Good luck

See your doctor ASAP: Blood pressure is much too high. It is difficult to make suggestions without more details about your history. You should be evaluated and medications adjusted or new medications added aiming for a BP of 120-130 systolic. Your prior lab data should also be reviewed as well your diet, alcohol intake if any and the salt in your diet. Do not ignore this BP.
