Asthma: Recurrent asthma attacks cause inflammation and sometime infection of the Bronchi, Bronchioles and lungs. This can result in microscarring which will be seen as mild diffuse interstitial thickening of the lungs. Keep your asthma well in control by using preventative medication regularly and when an exacerbation happens, use albuterol and steroids to reduce inflammation quickly.
