Ph by echo w/ resting pressure @ 40, slight sleep apnea, treated mild asthma, bp 130/90, 78% tlc/pft, 9 min treadmill stress test, doc says lower bp will help ph but no reason for rhc, sob on exertion and resting for years. clear lungs. recommend???

Besides optimal blood pressure control for systemic BP less than 120/80, sleep apnea needs to fixed as well because its contribution to pulmonary hypertension may be more important than uncontrolled systemic pressure. Just by TLC of 78% and mild pulmonary hypertension, I suspect you may be overweight/obese as well and if it is correct, you need to bring BMI down below 25.

Treatment for your Hypertension is important. Weight control, exercise,, avoid saturated fats. The TLC is borderline decreased, please provide all values. Shortness of breath may be related to cardiac conditions, asthma, pulmonary hypertension. Keep asthma well controlled. A virtual consult with Healthtap is available.
