A member asked:

Does my asthma with hyperinflated lungs and thickening mean i have interstitial lung disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Interstitial lung disease are diseases that actually involve the lung tissue. Asthma affects the airways, with spasm of the airways and inflammation in the airways leading to symptoms. Totally different. Hope this helps!
