Does a finding of interstitial thickening of the lung mean interstitial lung disease? or does it mean my lungs are inflamed from my asthma?

Descriptive: Finding refers to description of lung appearance by radiologist. A general term that could be related to many causes of lung inflammation from infection to heart failure to other more chronic diseases. Need to take findings in context to rest of current health situation as this may be something that resolves quickly or over time depending on cause or may not resolve if due to longer term issue.
