Anxiety and depressi: Yes definitely having both of these will make you feel drained. You will feel tired, have lack of motivation, inability to concentrate and also insomnia. These affect your immunity and hence make you more prone to infections.

Agreement: There is little question that emotional distress can profoundly disturb quality of life, cause periodic illnesses to take longer to recover, and cause susceptibility to many additional co-morbidities. Dr Kumar's suggestion for therapy should be heeded. You have potential to enjoy life at a much higher level.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!
