A member asked:

Is having a heart rate during normal daily activities (walking , moving from one place to another )of 60-68 bpm and rhr of 58-60 bpm normal for an under-active young adult (25 years) with bmi of ~25 (though heart rate used be close to 80-90 before.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Typically normal: Typically speaking the heart rate for normal healthy adults can vary quite a bit within the normal range. You can continue to monitor it and if it continues to trend down would need further evaluation. Would recommend an annual exam with labs and ekg. Consider increasing your physical activity. Also family history plays an important role so factor that in as well. Current HR is ok if asymptomatic
