Not a cure but...: You never want the treatment to be worse than the disease.After thyroidectomy you won't have Hashimoto's but won't have a thyroid,which I think is worse; and you'll not have addressed why you got it.I've cured many cases of Hashimoto's but it takes time. I recommend the book Hashimoto's Protocol by Isabella Wentz and her website at https://thyroidpharmacist.com as well as seeing an integrative Dr.

No: Hashimoto’s disease may require treatment with thyroid hormones.Surgery is sometimes required when there is a large goiter causing obstructing symptoms,or when a thyroid nodule proves to be malignant.
