GI upset: Gastrointestinal upset in babies is quite common. Keep them to a basic diet including apples, bananas, rice/toast/crackers, and offer formula and/ or gatorade in small quantities (1-2 oz) frequently (every 1-2 hours). Don't be alarmed if they don't want much. Just make sure they stay hydrated until the infection passes. See a Dr for Diarrhea more than 5 days, lethargy, irritability or high fever.

Agree : Agree with Dr. Kratzberg. Additionally, to keep track of hydration, make sure your child is having at least several wet diapers per day. Put a tissue over his penis to help knowing whether the wetness in his diaper is from urine or his diarrhea. Sometimes it's difficult to tell. Other signs to watch for are crying without tears and dry mouth.
