Probably a Virus: The most likley cause is viral, although bacterial infections of stool and, less likely, urine, could be others. Appendicitis and could be considered. Use fever medicines and encourage him to take sips of liquid every few minutes to keep him hydrated and to minimize vomiting. Visit a doctor if he has decreased urine output, cannot eat or drink, or for pain moving to right lower part of the belly.
